Oh, the confusion...

One piece of advice I would give myself for the start of university is just because you are an 'adult' now doesn't mean you need to find yourself a husband and completely sort out your life, you can let your hair down and take it slow.

As in my last posts, I stated I was chatting to a few guys on Tinder, which just wasn't going well and then developed feelings for a friend, whom I had fallen for so easily. I also knew that one of my flatmates liked me, but I didn't like him back and that made me feel bad. I shouldn't have felt bad, but I did because technically I was in the same situation of liking someone and them not liking me back. It honestly felt like I had been stabbed in the heart.

I took the morning to chill in my bedroom and listen to sad, break-up songs, even though I hadn't broken up with anyone. I created a sad gurl playlist on Spotify.

As I had previously worked before university, I was paid at the end of October for my September work and I decided to cheer myself up and buy some clothes from https://www.isawitfirst.com/ . I probably shouldn't have, but I felt I didn't have enough 'university attire'. I will be doing a separate post about fashion at university.

After dinner, my flatmates and I chilled in the kitchen, having a good laugh. We then decided we would watch a horror film in the kitchen and black the whole kitchen out. It took us ages to decide, but we watched The Shining. All we did was watch it on a laptop in the kitchen on Netflix. However, it is the small bits of fun that stay with you, and I will remember that experience whilst at university.

Quote of the blog:

"Your intellect may be confused, but your emotions will never lie to you" - this is something that ends up being true in my life. However, it describes this blog clearly, my head was saying I liked all these guys, but I didn't know what my heart wanted until a few days later.

The next blog is about what I get up to late at night and a Tesco food shop that may have brought me closer to someone.
